Of course! If we’re shipping to you during the warmer months, please select the “Temperature Controlled” shipping option in the drop down menu at online checkout.
Temperature-Control shipping is a great way to continue providing an elevated delivery experience for you so you may continue to order and enjoy your favorite wines during the warmer months. This service places your orders on a refrigerated truck and essentially “leapfrogs” them across the country to ensure temperature integrity for the main portion of the journey until handed over to UPS for the final mile. This service is available to select states and is best utilized for orders that cannot reach their destination within 2 business days, such as California.
For added protection from over-heating for the final mile, you have the option to add cool packs on your orders before submitting to the Fulfillment portal so that your wines will be packed in the appropriate packaging and have ice packs added into the packaging at the handoff points. The ice packs are designed to last approximately 48-72 hours depending on external conditions.
Once temp control orders ship in our system, the tracking number(s) will be provided, however, please note that they will not be live until handed over to and scanned by UPS.
Yes, there is an option on the checkout page to delay shipment. If you need further assistance, please contact info@rodneystrong.com.
